Nature Scavenging Trail

Make an observation hunt

Choose a familiar public place and a short list of things to notice: a branching shape, three leaf outlines, a bird call or a patch of shade. An observation hunt does not require collecting plants or taking wildlife home.

Adapt the list to the participants’ ages, mobility and attention spans. Check access rules and weather before setting out. Agree on clear boundaries and keep children with a responsible adult. Finish by sharing one surprising discovery.
